What: "No Line 9" rally and formal presentation to the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA)

Greetings, fellow Line 9 opponents!
The next local event to stop Enbridge dead in their pipes is our rally and presentation at the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) this Friday, Sept. 27, for their monthly meeting. Similar to our presentation at Regional Council last week, members of the Coalition will be making a formal delegation and asking for the GRCA to sign on to our Declaration of Opposition to Line 9 or issue their own statement of concern. And because the GRCA has a broader jurisdiction and responsibility to communities throughout the Grand River watershed, there is even greater potential here to leverage the widespread opposition to Line 9 in southern ontario to influence the GRCA's decision. In short, we need YOU there!
We are excited to welcome supporters from both Waterloo Region and beyond to rally with us on Friday at 8:30am outside the GRCA building and then join us inside for a big show of support at the meeting (beginning at 9:30am). Because the GRCA is not accessible by public transit, the Coalition is working to organize carpool transportation to get folks there from Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge. To reserve your seat, please RSVP (waterlooregionagainstline9@gmail.com) by Thursday at 5pm with your name and which city you live in, at which point you will receive the central pick-up location/details for your city. (Please note that cars will be leaving their designated pick-up spots at 8am sharp.) As well, if you have a vehicle and would be willing to drive yourself and others, please let us know! We're eager to fill as many cars as possible and bring a real crowd to show the GRCA we mean business.
We look forward to seeing you bright and early on Friday! (As an added incentive, we'll have coffee ready at the pick-up spots - another reason to RSVP!)
Let's tell the GRCA to actually do what they claim to do. Defend the land, defend the Grand!
